Exporting your data
You can request a full export of your ATTRIBUT data — your attribution history, sessions, costs, and evidence — as a single downloadable archive containing CSV and JSON files. Go to Preferences → Data & privacy → Export your data and click Generate export. Building the archive happens in the background: you'll get an email as soon as it's ready to download.
What's in the export
The export is one archive file covering your full attribution history: your sessions, the costs attached to them, and the evidence used to attribute that spend to shipped work. Data is included in both CSV and JSON formats inside the archive.
How to request an export
Open Preferences and scroll to the Data & privacy section.
In the Export your data row, click Generate export. If you already have a ready export, a secondary Generate new export button appears below its download details — use that to start a fresh one.
The row switches to a "Preparing your export…" state and a confirmation message lets you know the export has started.
You don't need to keep the page open — ATTRIBUT emails you once the archive finishes building.
Come back to the same row and click Download to get the file.
Export states
The export row always reflects the status of your most recent export request. There are four possible states:
State | What it means |
Pending | Your archive is being built. No action is needed — wait for the email or check back later. |
Ready | The archive finished building and is available to download. |
Failed | Something went wrong while building the archive. Click Generate export to try again. |
Expired | Your last export is no longer available to download. Click Generate export to create a fresh one. |
How long an export stays available
A ready export stays available to download for 30 days from the date it was generated. The export row shows the exact expiration date underneath the archive details. Once that window passes, the archive is no longer available to download.
Only your most recent export is kept
The Data & privacy row only ever tracks and displays your single most recent export request — there's no list of past exports to browse. If you generate a new export, this page moves on to tracking the new request; the previous archive is no longer shown here.
Requesting exports too often
You can only have one export in progress at a time. If you try to start a new export while one is still pending, you'll see a message that an export is already being prepared — wait for it to finish (or fail) before starting another. ATTRIBUT also enforces a short cooldown between export requests, so generating exports back-to-back may be briefly blocked even after one completes.
If an export fails
Occasionally an export doesn't finish building. When that happens, the row shows Last export failed with a note that something went wrong. Click Generate export to retry. If it keeps failing, contact support.
